Our Captains and crews are trained marine naturalists who provide lots of interresting information about the whales and other marine mamals during the trips. We sport both the larger vessel whale watch cruises aboard our larger 43 to 52 foot modern cruisers, or our zodiac whale watch trips aboard our zodiac vessel spyhopper.Tradewinds Charters is located in Depoe Bay, a picture perfect coastal seatown with the Pacific Ocean on our door step, in fact just across the street from our office. Our vessels are out to sea from our docks in just 1 minute, and our first whale is usually spotted within 10 minutes. We have the winter migration of the Gray whales from mid December through February, the north migration from mid March through May, and our resident Gray whales here from mid June through October. Depoe Bay is in Oregon, U.S.A.

(PLEASE NOTE:  'DolphinEAR' is the NEW Name for 'DolphinPhone'.  Some confusion occurred with the
'phone' part of the name.  It stood for 'hydroPHONE' but few people seem to have clicked on the
association!  We hope 'DolphinEAR' better describes it as a 'listening device for under water sounds.)
