"PENINSULA VALDES
Peninsula Valdes in Patagonia Argentina is internationally
renowned for its southern right whales which breed in two enormous
bays on either side of the peninsula. They can be seen easily
during the southern winter (mid July to November) on day tours
from the towns of Puerto Madryn, Trelew and Puerto Piramides or
on longer package tours organised by international operators.
Punta Norte on the tip of the Peninsula Valdes is a regular
hunting ground for several pods of killer whales. There
is a special viewing area overlooking a long stretch of beach
from which they can sometimes be seend stranding themselves to
catch youg seal lions and elephant seals. It is an unforgettable
sight and the peak activity is usually in March."

WhaleSwim Adventures
Swim with Humpback Whales on the Silver Banks, Dominican Republic.
Picture this.. . . Two humpback whales glide beneath you in a
synchronous ballet amid shafts of converging sunlight, their bulbous
probing eyes staring into you as they twist their massive pectoral
fins to glide, tumble and coil for several precious minutes before
a single pulse of their flukes propels them beyond your vision.
This experience of swimming with a whale is so profound and the
memories and images brought back from an in-water encounter are
so exciting that it can change the way people see nature, understand
it and, in turn, care for it. "We will save what we love" said
the late Jacques-Yves Cousteau. True. But equally so is his son
Jean-Michel's follow-through,"We will love what we understand."
During March each year, you can join us in the azure depths of
the Caribbean for a 7-day live-aboard expedtion to experience
and learn about these gentle giants of the ocean. Season: March

Natural Adventures
St. John, Inc
In December, Humpback whales migrate to the Virgin Islands to
mate and raise their young. Peak activity in the Virgin islands
and the best time for sighting is in February and March. These
magnificent creatures are 20 meters long and can weigh over 144
tons. Viewing these wonderful mammals is a privilege and the welfare
of the animals is our top priority. The closest that we will approach
is 100 yards. Their plaintive songs, groans, whistles, and squeals
can be heard for many miles underwater, and you will hear their
songs through our on board hydrophone. Whale watching trips are
